The Acai Berry

About Me

I’m an avid health enthusiast who loves learning about nutrition.  I have been an athlete from a young age and became interested in nutrition in high school as I began to realize that the foods I ate not only affected my performance on the athletic field, but also my health, energy, and general sense of well-being. 

Ever since then its been a fun ongoing process to find foods that give me that extra edge in energy and health.  Lean proteins like chicken breast and fish became an everyday staple in my diet, replacing meals heavy in simple carbohydrates that so easily turn to fat.  Dark leafy greens packed with nutrients and fiber like spinach became a regular food. 

But just recently I discovered the most exciting food yet…the Acai berry!  Nature’s most perfect food (packed with phytonutrients and antioxidants, healthy Omega fatty acids, and Amino acids), the Acai berry has become my new nutrition passion.  So I started a blog to educate the World about this amazing little berry and all the wonderful health and energy that can be found inside its dark purple skin.
